Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

In short, and without hedging:

  • We use no analytics and no tracking: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no profiling.
  • Without a profile, your bet register stays in your browser: it never reaches us and we could not recover it.
  • With a profile, your email address, name, password fingerprint and register are held on our servers, so you find them again from another device. You can download all of it, or delete all of it, whenever you like.
  • We neither sell nor share data with anyone, and we send no marketing.

1. Data controller

[RAGIONE SOCIALE], registered at [INDIRIZZO] — hereafter «OddSonar». For anything concerning personal data: [EMAIL PRIVACY].

2. What this site does

OddSonar compares the odds bookmakers publish on their own official channels, and provides a personal register of your bets. It accepts no bets, handles no money and is not a gambling operator.

3. What data we process, concretely

There are four cases, and they are very different from one another.

a) Without a profile: the data stays on your device

If you use the site without creating a profile, your bet register (stakes, odds, operator, result), your bankrolls and your favourite teams are saved in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to OddSonar or to anyone else: they stay on the device, and you can delete them at any moment by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.

b) With a profile: the data is on our servers

If you create a profile, things change, and it is only right to say so plainly. We hold on our server: your email address, a name of your choosing (a made-up one is fine), your password — never in clear text, but as a cryptographic fingerprint from which the password cannot be recovered — and the contents of your register, that is the bets and bankrolls you log. They serve one purpose: letting you find your data again from another device. We use them for nothing else, we send no marketing, and we pass them to no one.

You can download everything we hold about you and delete your entire profile whenever you like, from the «Your numbers» page: deletion is immediate and final, and we keep no copy. Your session is held by a technical cookie that your browser sends only to us and that no script can read; it lasts thirty days and ends when you sign out.

If you sign in with Google, we receive from Google your email address and your profile name, and nothing else: we gain no access to your mail, your contacts or any other service. In that case there is no password for us to keep.

c) Technical data needed to serve the pages

To show you the site and the odds, your browser makes requests to two pieces of our infrastructure: the one hosting the site and the one reading the bookmakers' feeds. As in any communication over the internet, they receive your IP address and the technical details of the request (browser type, language, referring page), without which the answer could not reach you. We keep no access log. In the event of a fault, system logs may hold this technical data temporarily, for as long as it takes to diagnose the problem.

d) Data you send us

If you write to us, we process your address and the contents of your message in order to reply.

4. What we do not do

We use no statistics or behavioural analytics tools, we install no profiling cookies, we build no advertising profiles, we neither sell nor share data with anyone, and we do not combine your data with other sources. The pages load no third-party resources: typefaces and club crests are hosted on our own systems, precisely so your IP address does not end up with an outside supplier while you browse.

5. Legal bases

  • Performance of the service you asked for (art. 6.1.b GDPR): the technical data needed to serve the pages and, if you created a profile, your account data and the contents of your register — without which the service you asked for cannot work.
  • Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): infrastructure security, protection against abuse, and fault diagnosis.
  • Consent (art. 6.1.a): only if we ever introduce non-essential tools. There are none today, so we ask you for no consent.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We use no profiling cookies and no third-party cookies. We use a single cookie, a technical one, and only if you have a profile: it keeps your session open, travels only to our own servers, cannot be read by any script, lasts thirty days and is deleted when you sign out.

We also use your browser's local storage to keep, on your device, what the tools you chose to use need: your bet register when you have no profile, your bankrolls and your preferences. None of this serves to identify you or to follow you across sites.

7. Suppliers and where the data sits

The site is hosted on Vercel; the service that reads the bookmakers' feeds and holds the profiles runs on a DigitalOcean server located in Germany. For service email — in practice, password recovery — we rely on Resend. If you choose to sign in with Google, authentication happens at Google.

All act as processors, or as independent controllers in Google's case for authentication. Vercel, Resend and Google are US companies: transfers rest on the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR. [TO BE CONFIRMED WITH COUNSEL: contractual references and the applicable transfer mechanism for each supplier.]

8. Sponsored links to operators

Some links to bookmakers' sites are sponsored links: they carry an identifier that lets the operator see you arrived from OddSonar, and if you open an account we may receive a commission. This does not influence the odds shown, which remain the ones read from the feeds, nor which operator comes out best.

We send no data to the operator ourselves: it is you who, by clicking, visit their site. From that moment their privacy policy applies, not this one. Such links are marked «Go to site» and recognisable by the transparency label beside them.

9. Retention

Data on your device stays until you delete it. Profile data and your register stay as long as you keep the profile: if you delete it, they are gone at once and in full, with no copies. Sessions expire after thirty days. Technical data in system logs is kept for as long as diagnosis and security require, and is used for nothing else. Correspondence is kept for as long as it takes to handle the request.

10. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to [EMAIL PRIVACY]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

A practical note: two of those rights need no request at all. From the «Your numbers» page you download everything we hold about you as a file, and delete your profile in one go. If instead you use the site without a profile, we do not hold that data: it sits in your browser and you control it directly.

11. Minors

The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and offers no gambling services. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes

If we change anything substantial — in particular if we introduce analytics — we will update this page and the date at the top. The sponsored links described in point 8 have been active since 28 July 2026. Profiles with email and password, the session cookie and Google sign-in have been active since 13 September 2026, and this policy was updated accordingly.

Internal note: the fields in square brackets must be filled in and the text reviewed by a lawyer before it can be considered final. The description of processing in points 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 matches what the site actually does, verified against the code on 14 September 2026.
