Ligue 1, the round in numbers: form, head-to-heads and margins

It is the league where the three operators sit furthest apart of any we measure: on one match there are 6.69 margin points between dearest and cheapest.

Nine matches between Friday 18 and Sunday 20 September: position and points, recent form, head-to-head records from our archive, and how much each operator holds back on the full-time result. No tips, and no price written into the text — the odds live in the table that fills from the feed when you open the page.

Here the books are a long way apart

Of every competition we measure, Ligue 1 is the one where the three operators behave most differently. On seven of the nine matches we have all three prices; on Nice-Lille only Betsson and Betflag price it, and Auxerre-Brest isn't in the listing:

OperatorMedian marginLowestHighestMatches
Netwin4.75%4.23%4.92%7
Betflag7.71%7.34%8.44%8
Betsson10.59%10.42%11.44%8

Read on 14 September 2026 at 16:26 Italian time, across the round's matches present in the listing. Netwin is cheapest on all seven matches it prices; on the eighth, Nice-Lille, it doesn't price at all, and of the two that remain Betflag is cheaper.

Across the seven matches all three price, the distance between dearest and cheapest runs from 5.62 points on Toulouse-Le Havre to 6.69 points on Paris FC-Strasbourg. For comparison, the widest spread on the Serie A round is 3.77 points and on the Premier League round 3.18 points: here the narrowest is wider than the widest elsewhere.

Three sides on ten points

Lille lead with ten points from four rounds, ahead of Monaco and Rennes level on ten; Lyon are fourth on eight. Lille have the best goal difference of the leading group: 1.75 scored and 0.5 conceded per game.

Lyon-Rennes pits two of them against each other: six meetings in the archive, all Ligue 1, from November 2021 to January 2024, with four Rennes wins and two for Lyon.

Nice are on 0.25 goals per game

Eighteenth with two points from four rounds and a single goal scored all season, Nice host the leaders. Across the last six meetings, all Ligue 1 and between August 2021 and May 2024, the record is in their favour, though: three wins, two draws and one defeat.

Marseille-PSG: thirteenth against eighth

It is the match everyone watches, and here is how the table has it: Marseille are thirteenth with three points, Paris Saint-Germain eighth with five, both from four rounds and with the same goal averages, 1.5 scored and 1.5 conceded.

The head-to-head says otherwise: across the last six meetings the archive holds — five Ligue 1 and one Coupe de France, between April 2022 and March 2024 — PSG won five and Marseille one.

The other five, briefly

  • Monaco-Lens (Fri 18, 20:45) — Monaco are second with ten points, Lens tenth with four. Six meetings since April 2023, five Ligue 1 and one Coupe de France: four Monaco wins, two for Lens, no draws.
  • Paris FC-Strasbourg (Sat 19, 17:15) — fifth against sixth, one point apart. No head-to-head record in our archive. It is the match where the three operators sit furthest apart: 6.69 margin points.
  • Angers-Troyes (Sat 19, 20:45) — eleventh against twelfth, four points each. Here too the archive holds no head-to-head at all.
  • Le Mans-Lorient (Sat 19, 20:45) — the archive holds just two meetings, both Ligue 2 and both won by Lorient, in August 2019 and February 2020. Two matches are not a record.
  • Toulouse-Le Havre (Sat 19, 20:45) — seventeenth against sixteenth, two points each. Six meetings since November 2023, all Ligue 1: three Le Havre wins, two for Toulouse, one draw.

Left out of that list is Auxerre-Brest, scheduled for Sunday: it isn't in our listing, so we have neither odds nor margin for it. The table has Auxerre fifteenth with three points and Brest seventh with five.

How to read these numbers

With four rounds played, goal averages and positions swing a lot. The form sequence looks at a team's most recent Ligue 1 matches within the last 120 days, so it includes the tail of last season.

Head-to-head records come from the openfootball archive and cover every competition: on three of the six matches that have one, the meetings quoted are not all Ligue 1: Monaco-Lens and Marseille-PSG carry one Coupe de France tie each, and Le Mans-Lorient's two meetings are both Ligue 2. Three matches in the round have no head-to-head in the archive at all, and we wrote that rather than substitute something else.

There are no line-ups, injuries or suspensions: we don't have them. The comparison across operators is on the odds page, standings and statistics in their own section.
