Bundesliga, 18-20 September: form, head-to-heads and margins across nine matches

Three rounds played and already two sides on zero points. And on four of the nine matches not all three operators publish a price, so the comparison is thinner than it looks.

Nine matches between Friday 18 and Sunday 20 September: position and points, recent form, head-to-head records from our archive, and how much each operator holds back on the full-time result. No tips, and no price written into the text — the odds live in the table that fills from the feed when you open the page.

One caveat that matters more here than elsewhere: the Bundesliga has played three rounds. Across three matches, a table separates sides that have won twice from sides that have won once, and a goal average is little more than an anecdote. Where we quote a number, that is what it is.

How much the book holds back, operator by operator

OperatorMedian marginLowestHighestMatches

Betflag7.31%7.12%7.65%7

Read on 14 September 2026 at 16:26 Italian time. The three columns don't cover the same number of matches because the three operators don't all price the same ones: Betsson eight of the nine, Betflag seven, Netwin five. On the matches where they appear together, Netwin is cheapest five times and Betsson three.

Spreads — the distance between dearest and cheapest — can only be measured on the four matches all three price: they run from 1.95 points on Schalke-Elversberg to 2.80 points on Stuttgart-Dortmund. It is a league where the books sit close together: on the Ligue 1 round, measured the same way, the narrowest spread is 5.62 points.

Freiburg lead, and have the round's best defence

Nine points from nine, 3.33 goals scored and 0.33 conceded per game: Freiburg have both the best attack and the best defence of the round. They travel to Frankfurt, ninth with four points.

Across the last six meetings the archive holds, all Bundesliga fixtures between September 2023 and March 2026, Freiburg have never won away at Eintracht: three home wins and three draws.

Two sides on zero points, and two on zero goals

Hamburg are bottom with no points, no goals scored and four conceded per game across three rounds. Mönchengladbach are seventeenth, also on zero points, with one goal scored and four conceded per game. Hamburg aren't alone on zero goals, though: Paderborn, fifteenth with one point, have yet to score either.

About Hamburg-Cologne we can say nothing more: it isn't in our listing, so we have neither odds nor margin, and the archive holds no head-to-head between the two.

Bayern, and a match with no history behind it

Bayern are fourth with seven points from three rounds, 2.33 goals scored and 0.67 conceded, and open the round against Union Berlin, sixteenth with one point and 3.33 goals conceded per game. The archive holds not a single meeting between the two: the figure doesn't exist, and we don't substitute something else for it.

The other five, briefly

  • Werder Bremen-Augsburg (Sat 19, 15:30) — Augsburg are third with seven points and 3 goals scored per game. Six meetings since December 2023, all Bundesliga: two wins each and two draws.
  • Stuttgart-Borussia Dortmund (Sat 19, 18:30) — Dortmund are second with a perfect record. Six meetings since December 2023, five Bundesliga and one DFB-Pokal: four Stuttgart wins, one draw, one for Dortmund. It is the match with the widest spread among those all three price, 2.80 points.
  • Bayer Leverkusen-RB Leipzig (Sun 20, 15:30) — six meetings since October 2022, all Bundesliga: five Leverkusen wins and one for Leipzig.
  • Schalke 04-Elversberg (Sun 20, 17:30) — the archive holds just two meetings, both 2. Bundesliga, in November 2023 and April 2024. Two matches are not a record.
  • Paderborn-Hoffenheim (Sun 20, 19:30) — four meetings, all Bundesliga but between October 2014 and May 2020: two draws and two Hoffenheim wins, by two sides that are no longer these ones.

How to read these numbers

Three rounds is very few: 3.33 goals per game across three games isn't a rate. The form sequence looks at a team's most recent Bundesliga matches within the last 120 days, and here it almost always coincides with the three played.

Head-to-head records come from the openfootball archive and cover every competition: on two of the six matches that have one, the meetings quoted are not all Bundesliga: Stuttgart-Dortmund carries one DFB-Pokal tie, and Schalke-Elversberg's two meetings are both 2. Bundesliga. Three matches in the round have no head-to-head in the archive at all.

There are no line-ups, injuries or suspensions: we don't have them. The comparison across operators is on the odds page, standings and statistics in their own section.
